ENABLING SELF CARE

ENABLING ROAD MAP 1

THUS FAR AND TASK AHEAD

We have in the postings so far, identified the health Burdens for the common
Man(Aam Aadmi) of today
Dwelt at length on the causes-suggested means of limiting them at their inception
In the posting entitled Undo the Burden suggested the Primary steps required to
Provide a working health care system (HCS) for Urban & Rural common man
The identified stimulus package will take time to show results of transforming the
The non-performing assets to high performing assets

Three posts for the Hospital Service Providers (provider feeds) were for introducing
Best practice awareness, and the self learning resources. This is self care for the
Providers

While we wait for the revival of the HCS, we will undertake to look after ourselves,
And embark on a journey of enabling ourselves for the Self Care role

For this task we will post a series of feeds of Enabling Self Care
There will be over forty such feeds, these will focus on the working of the Human
Body machine
They will dwell on system wise narrations, in simple language using every day life
Metaphors
This will aid understanding the basic role of the system.
The system wise narrative will end with the system specific symptoms, associated with
disorders of the system.

Simple remedies and clear signals as when to seek professional care are included
Some of us will reach the self care Goal, but many of us may feel that we have
A limited understanding of the human body machine .
This sets us on the path of greater consumer-provider convergence.
Convergence achieved through knowledge of the human machine, aids interaction
With service providers, this too is a dimension of self care
You may wish to tryselfcare in areas you feel confident first, and try other areas later.
Self care is certainly relevant in India and elsewere.
It will serve all in any location, without a robust Health care system
Any questions may be sent to drmmkapur@gmail.com you will receive a response
