GLOSSARY A-Z 49 DPT vaccine Drug abuse Duct Duodenal Ulcer

DPT vaccine  A vaccine used in children to prevent diphtheria, pertussis (whooping cough) and tetanus

Duct  Any hollow tube in the body, e.g. bile duct
Duodenal ulcer   An erosion of the mucous membrane of the duodenum usually seen in those who lead stressful lives and eat meals at irregular hours. It is related to the high acid produced by the stomach mucosa
