Technical terms come up in discussion with your physician at various stages of your meeting/ encounters with him.
 If the meaning of these terms is lost on you, you do not benefit from the discussion.
 It is therefore important that you understand the meaning and content of these terms.


This not only helps you to understand fully what is said but also helps you to ask question to clarify issues raised by your understanding. 
 
Given below are the terms which you would come across in the discussion.


Obesity You are obese(fat) if you are 30 % above your ideal weight
             for your height and age it is now believed that this factor
             is risk to your health

Occlusion  A block in your arterial system resulting in cutting of
                the blood supply to an organ

Oedema   A collection of fluid in a part of the body(legs) or within 
                an organ as result of desease or injury.

Oesophagus  The part of your digestive system that connects your mouth
                     to your stomach,disorder causes difficulty in swallowing
