All that is nutrition reaches the cell dissolved in water-All that is cell waste is
dissolved in water


THE URETERS Kidney outlet drain, for water and waste.
These are the two muscular tubes 25 cm long (10 inches).
Each of these tubes starts at the kidney.
The last portion of the ureter passes through the wall of the bladder, and squirts urine received from the kidney into the bladder.
When there is obstruction, in this passage due to stones in the ureter, you may feel a pain, called colic.

BLADDER Water and waste tank
This is an expandable muscular sac,
Can hold up to 500 cc of urine.
It is thick walled.
The wall is made of muscles.
The contraction of muscles is controlled by the Nervous system.
The actions to empty the bladder are controlled by you.

URETHRA Final outlet drain for waste
This is a tube that opens to the outside, and in the male it is 10 inches in length
The first part of this tube passes through the prostate gland, and the rest passes through the penis.
In the female the urethra is short and is about one and a half inches in length.
