COMMON AILMENTS A-Z headache

HEADACHE 1
A diffuse pain in the head can be called a headache.
There is a long list of factors that cause headache, and all the causes lie outside the brain since brain tissue has no sensory nerves.
The more common varieties are;
Tension headache,
Migraine, and
Cluster headache.
Tension headacheis the most common type of headache, occuring
among men, women and children.
This may be caused by increased tension in the muscies or meninges (membranes lining the brain):

The usual features are
* Pain of mild to moderate intensity
* Non-throbbing pain that occurs on both sides of the head,
* No nausea or vomiting,
* Depression and/or anxiety
Self Care
* Since the headache is caused by tension, measures should be
taken to manage tension and stress.
Exercise and relaxation techniques may help.
* Mild painkillers such as aspirin may be used
* Massage acupuncture can also be tried
