VERTIGO (Spinning Head)
 
 
Vertigo causes a spinning sensation of the body and / or the
Surrounding  objects. 
This sensation originates from a disorder of
the balancing  system  in  the internal  car.  
This system is responsible for our sense of balance in all positions of the head.
 
*   Benign  paroxysmal  vertigo  (B.P.V) usually  seen  in  older
    people occurs suddenly with change  in  position of the head. 
    There is no hearing loss or tinnitus(buzzing in the ear)  and
    it is short lasting.  It is most often due to disturbance in
    the internal ear.
 
*   Meniers disease is more common in younger persons comes on
    suddenly. 
    There is vertigo tinuitus hearing loss fullness in the ear nausea   vomiting. 
    There is usually excess of fluid in the internal ear interfering    with the sense of balance
 
TREATMENT
 
Consult  ENT specialist. 
Drug therapy and  exercise  will  help relieve the condition. A diet low in salt is recommended.
You may need diuretics and antihistamines.
