Glossary A-Z 59 Enterostomy Enuresis Environment Epidemic

Enterostomy  ( en ter os tomi )  An  opening made in the intestinal area  and kept open. In case of intestinal  obstruction the artificial  opening  is made above the obstruction to relieve the obstruction

Epidemic Appearance, in large numbers, of a disease in a given geographic area
