Leukemia ( lyu kee mia) A malignant disease of white blood cells.

Leukoderma  ( lyu ko derma ) Loss of skin colour; presence of white patches. The cause is usually not know.

Magnetic resonce imaging (MRI ) A technique where the body is placed in side a power excites the protons in the hydrogen and they transmit a radio signal. These signals are reconstituted into an image. This technique is safe since the patient receives no radiation. It is mainly used to examine suspected tumours in the brain or  spine diseases.

Malaria  common  disease in the tropics caused by parasite ( plasmodium ) and transmitted by mosquitoes ( anopheles). It has an incubation period of 2-5 weeks followed by high fever.
