GLOSSARY A-Z 144 saliva-sarcoidosis



Technical terms come up in discussion with your physician at various stages of your meeting/ encounters with him.
 If the meaning of these terms is lost on you, you do not benefit from the discussion.
 It is therefore important that you understand the meaning and content of these terms.
This not only helps you to understand fully what is said but also helps you to ask question to clarify issues raised by your understanding.

Saliva ( se ly va ) Watery secretion generated in the mouth to help chew and digest food.
Salmonella  ( saal mo ne la ) Rod shaped bacteria that can be responsible for  , para-typhoid , and gastro- enteritis ( food poisoning ).
Salpingitis ( saal pin ji tis )  Inflammation of the fallopian tubes. Symptoms on the right side are similar to acute appendicitis that of the
Sarcoidosis  ( saar koi do sis )  Scar tissue formation in the lung , Liver and other organs. The cause is not known.
