Technical terms come up in discussion with your physician at various stages of your meeting/ encounters with him.
 If the meaning of these terms is lost on you, you do not benefit from the discussion.
 It is therefore important that you understand the meaning and content of these terms.
This not only helps you to understand fully what is said but also helps you to ask question to clarify issues raised by your understanding. 
 Given below are the terms which you would come across in the discussion.
They are in alphabetic order to provide ease of access.

Vas  deferens  An enlarged twisted set of veins in the testis to the urethra.

Vasectomy  Cutting and tying the vas deferens.   An excellent method of male contraception.

Vactor ( vek ter ) An agent that transmits an organism. It is  usually an insect , e.g. mosquito for malaria parasite.

Vena cava  ( vee na kaa va )  The large veins ( superior and inferior ) that convey blood from the upper and lower half of the body back to the heart.
