THE NATURAL DEFENSE SYSTEM

The Immune System 1b
IMMUNE CELLS, TISSUES AND ORGANS THAT ACT WHEN INVASION OCCURS
To recognize foreigners - prepare antibodies - destroy invader
The second cell system is switched on when bacteria, or viruses enter the body.
This system starts functioning when it recognizes protein of (bacteria or viruses) as foreign to its own.
Protein content of these recognized agents are called antigens. The immune system then produces antibodies to these antigens and these antibodies are directed at the foreign protein bearing agents.
This special designed antibody makes sure that only the injuring bacteria are destroyed and no damage occurs to the cells of the body.
The main parts of this system are: * The Lymph glands * The Spleen * The Thymus * The Bone marrow * The Tonsils (lymphoid tissues) and * The Lymphoid tissues in the intestines
The lymph glands and lymphoid tissue filter the lymph fluid, free of bacteria and in an inflammation occurs (the angry response to invasion) when there is more lymph and bacteria, the lymph glands may get enlarged and painful because of this response. Any questions be sent to drmmkapur@gmail.com
