ALLERGY
Allergy may cause the skin, and inner lining of your throat, lungs, and intestines to swell and show inflammation.
This occurs in case you come in contact with substance you are allergic to.

Anti allergic skin creams can be given in skin allergies
Nasal drops for nasal allergies (otrivin)
Eye drops for allergic red eye
Oral drugs are prescribed for all other allergies (ketovent)
AMEBIASIS
Occurs frequently in all parts of India
Amebiasis is caused by a parasite Entamoeba histolytica.
The tiny parasite lives in the large intestine causing ulcers of
the mucosa with resulting diarrhea.
The stool of infected person contains the parasite.
Occasionally it causes abscess in liver, brain or lungs.
Occurrence : World wide
Organism : Entamoeba histolytica
Reservoir : Human beings
Transmission: Contamination through unclean hands of food handlers
Self care : -Wash hands personal hygiene,
-Public health measures
-Prevent water contamination with human waste,
-Drink safe water and cooked food.
Treat Flagyl 400-800 mg three times a day 5-10 days in cases of proved amebiasis.
