Self Care

Factors that trigger asthmatic attack should be identified by skin tests (pollen, dust, cold) and avoided.

All Allergens can be identified through skin sensitivity tests.
For instance if person is allergic to pollen then she should stay out of gardens and parks.

Treatment
A physician should advice on the long-term care.
The treatment could include;

Oral and injectable drugs for dilating the bronchial airways,

Oral nebulizers for dilating the bronchial tubes, and

Corticosteroids or antibioties during acute attacks.
More then fifty per cent of children overcome asthma by 21 years
of age.
Among the rest, the attacks become less frequent and less
severe.
