COMMON AILMENTS A-Z Hemorrhoids

HEMORRHOIDS
Hemorrhoids are dilated and enlarged veins near the anal opening
causing pain, discomfort and bleeding during passing stool.
This usually occurs among people suffering from constipation, and
strain during bowel movement.
Some complain of itching around the anus and a mass felt while washing.
Treatment
Local creams and ointments help relief pain
Rubber band tying of pile can be done
3. Injection above the pile shrinks the pile.
4. Last of all surgical removal of pile mass can be done.
Self Care
* For mild bleeding or itching, increase fiber content in diet
by eating fruits and fresh vegetables, and drink more fluids.
* Regular intake of Isabgol also increases fiber.
* In case of severe pain, and bleeding, one can use local
anaesthetic ointments (like anovate) or insert suppositories
  (like proctosedyl-M).
If symptoms do not subside within a week, consult a doctor, since
surgical removal might be necessary.
